We had a wonderful stay in this tastefully decorated house. We were welcomed by the owners with great kindness. Each room is carefully furnished in a style that is both warm and refined. The appliances are impeccable, modern, and perfectly functional, which greatly facilitated our daily life during our family vacation. A real plus: all the linens (bed linen, bath and pool towels, tea towels, etc.) are provided, which is very much appreciated. A rental where you immediately feel at home. We highly recommend it!

An unforgettable stay!

We had a simply perfect stay with friends (9 adults) in this magnificent house located a stone's throw from Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port.

From the moment we arrived, we were won over by the charm of the place: a spacious house, tastefully decorated, perfectly equipped, and ideally located for exploring the Basque Country.

Everything has been designed for comfort and conviviality: the rooms are comfortable and well-appointed, the common areas are welcoming, and the kitchen is ultra-functional (ideal for cooking together!).

The garden and swimming pool offer an idyllic setting to relax, share an aperitif or a good meal with a soothing view of the surrounding nature.

Special mention for the welcome and availability of Carole and her husband, who were remarkably kind and responsive. You can tell they are committed to providing their visitors with a wonderful experience, and that makes all the difference.

Between hikes, local discoveries, shared moments and total relaxation, this house was the perfect starting point for unforgettable memories.

We recommend it with our eyes closed and will definitely come back!

This is a truly outstanding holiday home. In a beautiful place, all the many facilities in perfect order. Delightful and efficient hosts. Everything has been thought out to make it truly comfortable. We had 4 wonderful days and we wish it had been 4 weeks. Add to this that St Jean Pied de Port is a brilliant center for varied holiday activities.

This is a top rank holiday property. Everything is well thought out, in perfect condition. All facilities are excellent. We loved our stay, wished it were longer. St Jean Pied de Port is a brilliant centre. Our hosts were efficient, friendly and accessible.

Villa Paulen Pausa is located in Uhart-Cize, a unique and idyllic place where three generations have had the joy of spending a week in complete tranquility.
I would like to thank Carole and Jean-Pierre for their warm welcome, their kindness and for their availability and responsiveness following a small problem with the coffee machine.
I would like to point out that the description on their website concerning the various products is accurate, nothing is missing (bathroom: shampoo, shower gel)(kitchen: many ingredients are available for cooking as well as for cleaning), toilet paper enough for the stay)
Outdoors, a barbecue and a griddle allow you to enjoy delicious grilled dishes. After your meal, there's a pétanque court for a relaxing time, or you can go for a dip in the heated pool and then enjoy a nice tan on a deckchair.
I highly recommend Villa Paulen Pausa for a pleasant stay with family or friends.
The location of Villa Paulen Pausa allows for beautiful visits and walks in the region and if you feel like going to Spain

An idyllic setting, very friendly owners who are available for any concerns. The area is super quiet. The accommodation is very well-equipped, even confusing 😊 (professional equipment). The rooms are spacious. Everything is included (bath linens, pool dishes) and of high quality, to boot.
Saint Jean Pied de Port is a 15-minute walk away.
I highly recommend it.

Welcomed by very friendly owners in this magnificent property with very high quality interior and exterior fittings, we spent 2 excellent weeks as a family.
The site, in a rural setting, is magnificent, combining all the comforts and facilities allowing both a high-quality sedentary stay and the amenities of proximity to St Jean Pied de Port, in a splendid region offering numerous possibilities for outings in typical villages and magnificent landscapes.
We will probably come back to rest at Paul's with pleasure.

Perfect stay in an ideal house for a vacation in a very beautiful region!

We really appreciated the owners' welcome and the comfort of the house, which has been tastefully renovated. The garden and swimming pool are also extremely pleasant. The location is ideal, close to the center of Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port yet peaceful and in a privileged setting.

Close to Saint Jean Pied de Port, you can get there on foot.

We had a great stay in this beautiful, well-appointed, and very well-equipped villa close to the village. We received a very warm welcome from Carole and Jean-Pierre, the owners. The kitchen equipment is fantastic, very modern, and the house is spacious. There were six adults and two children. The pool was between 28 and 30°C, very pleasant when the weather is a bit unpredictable in the Basque Country. My older children really enjoyed the bowling alley and the ping-pong table.
I recommend this rental for its services and its location.
We will come back if we have the opportunity.

One of the best houses we have ever stayed in. The pictures don't do it justice. Spacious, spotless when we arrived, great pool and garden to relax in and an extremely well-equipped kitchen. Walking distance to town for restaurants etc. Absolutely beautiful area with so much to do. An hour from the coast and half an hour from the really big mountains. Carole and Jean Pierre couldn't have been more helpful. Highly recommend.

Luxury and tranquility in the heart of the Basque Country

We spent 5 fantastic days with friends (4 couples) in this magnificent residence with high-end services, offering everyone their privacy, a large comfortable living room to get together and cuisine worthy of a Michelin-starred chef. The location is magical, just a stone's throw from Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port and ideal for hiking. A swimming pool, bowling alley, plancha grill, and barbecue complete this little corner of paradise. After being received by Carole and Jean Pierre, we had a very very good weekend at Maison Paulen Pausa. It is a house of character with very nice amenities, decorated with great taste. We appreciated the exterior with its beautiful terrace, its bowling alley and the beautiful heated swimming pool for aperitifs and the barbecue for meals. We did our shopping at the nearby Ventas d'Arneguy (Spain). then to digest, walk to St Jean Pied de Port, a town well known for its ramparts, and especially on the Way of St Jacques.
